1000 Families

Overview

Can a group of blood-tied members living under the same roof be defined as ‘a family’? Other than phylogenetic relationship and domicile, everyone has their own definition of ‘family’. A family can be a place filled with happiness, or a place where one can love and be loved, or where memories reside. With ‘family’ as the core curatorial concept, “1000 Families” features photographic works from 13 overseas and local artists under three themes: Love, Happiness and Memories, which represent a multi-layered definition to ‘family’. Forming part of the exhibition, 1000 award-winning works selected from the Photoeat Competition in 2015 will be on display and added to the various dimensions of 1000 families.
