The Satellite Exhibitions Project: Call for Proposals
16.08.2019
Overview
The HKIPF sees creativity in every corner of the city, and we seek to instill this spark in everyday life. The Satellite Exhibitions Project fosters interaction between different communities and encourages art to be appreciated in people’s daily environment.
In 2018, the project brought a cluster of creativity to spaces across the city – the inter-disciplinary showcase captured the attention of art practitioners and the public alike. This year, we are pleased to see the project connecting art spaces with visual practitioners once again. We invite participants from different artistic disciplines and personal and cultural backgrounds to take part in the Satellite Exhibitions via an open call for proposals.
Other than exhibitions, outcomes of the selected proposals may take many forms, such as not performances, publications, talks, or experimental inter-disciplinary work.
Selected proposals will be guided by the curatorial team of HKIPF (Festival Curator, and core members and advisors) through the production process. Image makers who demonstrate outstanding potential will have the opportunity to participate in the HKIPF’s forthcoming overseas exhibitions or exchange events.
