About
Hernández (b. 1988) is a Spanish photographer currently based in Hong Kong, and the co-founder of BlackMountain Books. His personal work focuses on memories and life cycles. Beyond taking part in numerous international group exhibitions, he has published several photobooks, with Riverbed awarded one of the Best Photobooks of the Year in the international photography festival PHotoEspaña (Spain) in 2016.

Special Measures(1) Our venue requires filling out customer forms / scanning “Leave home safe” upon entry. Masks must be on at all times when customers are not eating and dining limits to 4 persons per table.

I started this project with an intention to overcome the loss of home and language in adapting to a foreign country. Along this process, I have tried to keep close to all things, people and places that seem to exist in a state of flux; observing, and seeking harmony within the ephemeral.
