Overview

blue affair is based on the photographer’s dreams of his time in Koza, a city in the middle of Okinawa Island. What the photographer experienced in Koza was burnt into his mind so deeply that it started infiltrating his dreams. Some people might perceive this work as fiction, while others might see it as a documentation of reality. This is quite similar to the everyday life of ours we call ‘reality’, which is in fact formed by a mixture of fuzzy, personal experiences, memories, impressions and processed information. blue affair weaves together the dreams of a memory with the words ‘I have the same dream’, expressing surreal experiences and the impression that they actually occurred while he was photographing Koza.

*The work is restricted to persons aged 18 or above.
