About
Trained as a Communication Designer in Hong Kong, Ho is especially keen on analogue photography and has been exploring the possibilities of the medium as a tool to transmit her thoughts. She is not an experienced photographer but hopes to develop her practice in a way that resonates with the people and history of Hong Kong. Her photography focuses on experimental expressions that challenge the current social chaos.
Ho’s evolution into pinhole photography allows her to stick to the basics and enjoy a slow-paced photographic process in a fast-paced city.

Overview

Objects of Abnormality reveals the anomalies of this city. Controversial objects are converted into pinhole cameras, becoming carriers of this moment in the history and culture of Hong Kong. The images are rudimentary, constructed to depict Hong Kong’s emotional state, permeated by uncertainty, oppression and absurdity. The experimental series communicates different kinds of collective emotions and existing social maladies from the perspective of objects, providing a chance for people to reconsider the relationship between objects, emotions, and urban space.
