About
Lai Suet Sum is inspired by the pure state of nature. In bringing together elements of nature and themes of personal interests, she tries to express a sense of serenity and poetic feeling in her work. In 2013, Lai obtained her Master in Photography from Spéos Paris Photographic Institute, and is the 2018 winner of the WMA Open Photo Contest in Hong Kong.
Overview
Like many Hongkongers, I experienced indescribable anxiety, sorrow and fear in the second half of 2019. Still, light never ceases to shine on those of us who share the same belief, like guardian angels watching over us. It brings me hope and expels my fears. I believe there will be a day when light prevails over darkness.
